2016年12月29日，中国美术学院民艺博物馆的年度学术大展“人在草木间 —— 中国茶生活艺术展”开展，展览以学术为依托，视觉体验为叙述方式，展现中国文化在茶艺术中的表达。展览包括三个构成板块：“茶书问道 —— 中国茶文献展”、“茗图研壶 —— 紫砂《七十三壶图》专题研究”、“茶境九品 —— 中国文人茶的精神生活”。本次展览最引人瞩目的展品来自于2015年5月河南省文物考古研究所委托巩义市文物考古研究所发掘清理的三座唐文宗大和六年（832年）的墓葬。此套茶具系列，为迄今考古所见最早的以随葬品较为全面地反映唐代茶事中从碾茶、煮茶、分茶到饮茶过程的出土器物，不仅为研究唐代茶文化提供极为珍贵的资料，对理解此后墓葬备茶图的出现也具有重要的启示意义。展览利用文献、器物和绘画等，用视觉和文字的方式整理中国茶的几个重要发展阶段，并旗帜鲜明地提出了“茶境九品”的理念。从茶道具经典研究到新茶具创作，从茶器具到茶空间，综合讨论茶文化中的 “东方美学”及“哲匠精神”，提出我们对茶艺术的理解及主张。

The exhibition is made up of following three parts: Tea Literature- Chinese Tea Literature Exhibition, Drawings of Teapots- Study of the Drawings of Seventy-three Purple
Clay Teapots, The Nine States in Tasting Tea- the Spiritual Life with Tea of the Chinese Intellectuals. The exhibition used literatures, tools and utensils and paintings to illustrate the important development stages in Chinese tea history by visual and textual means and brought up the idea of the nine states in tasting tea. From study of classical tea sets to creation of new tea sets, from tea ware to tea tasting space, the exhibition discussed oriental aesthetics and the spirit of artisanship in tea culture and brought forward our understanding and idea about tea art.
